Printmaking is a learning process
Well this morning I printed the second color of my lilypad reduction print. It didn't work out like I thought. I was thinking that since I was adding white to the blue that it would make it opaque enough the cover the very bright yellow that was my first color. I was very wrong....or perhaps it just doesn't work that way with water based inks. Since I was not crazy with the outcome, I tore down new paper and started over (minus what would have been the yellow parts =/ ).
The bottom image is the newly reprinted lilypad in light blue. This was the same blue that I tried to cover the yellow in.
