Sumatran Tiger Screenprint Detail
This Sumatran Tiger is a screenprint that I created while looking up Endangered Species to use for linocuts. I was aware of other tiger sub-species being endangered, but had never heard of the Sumatran Tiger. Since that time, I've gotten to see them in person on a visit to Zoo Atlanta. The female was very photogenic, while the male.....walked away...and stayed away.
This is a 6 color screenprint (Light Orange, Med Orang, Red Orange, Dark Green (not visible), Olive Green (eyes) and Black. It's probably the most detailed image I've ever created and even eclipses my screenprint version of Hokusais "Great Wave".
